GFFMA Complaint Policy

At GFFMA we enforce the commonly accepted rules for professional association behavior and thereby take complaints seriously.  We also recognize that some individuals and organizations use unwarranted or frivillous complaint submittals as an approach to gaining unfair advantage of competitors or to promote some personal or political agenda.  We therefore impose the following foundation rules on our complaint procesisng policy:

  • Annonymous complaints are entirely ignored.
  • Complaints were we cannot verify the identity of the complaintant are entirely ignored.
  • Complaints clearly an effort to stiffle "free speech" or pomote a political agenda are ignored.
  • Complaints that threaten violence or other illegal behavior are handed over to state/federal agencies for investigation.
  • The United States Patent and Trademark Office online database is the arbiter of patent and REGISTERED trademark complaints.
  • We do not process complaints regarding unregistered trademarks except in response to a court order.
  • We do not process complaints regarding copyright infringement unless the complaintants work has actually been published or in response to a court order.
